By his late twenties he had started to take up painting part-time.and decided to go to Art College.

     He took a B.A in Cheltenham and took an M.A at Reading University.

     For the next ten years he painted in rural Oxfordshire in an abstract format,

     before moving to Cornwall where he was  influenced by the weather and the Landscape.

     In 20014 he started spending time in Spain where he has an house and a studio.

     The dry landscape and the strong evidence of the past became a theme in the work.

     Paul has shown throughout Britain, particularly in Cornwall
